Staff were very attentive, polite and explained what needed to know, checked us in very quickly and show to our room. Room was clean and stocked with pkenty of tea, coffee etc. Bed was very comfortable and nice fresh bedding and towels, toiletries were supplied. Welcoming pub with accommodation. The homemade pie that I had for my evening meal was excellent, and breakfast was served quickly and with a smile. The bedroom had air conditioning, which on a weekend when temperatures were 30 degrees plus made a huge difference to the stay.

Lovely to see a proper village pub so busy on a couple of weekday nights in Mid-January. And quite rightly so - friendly staff, friendly locals and friendly guests. Breakfasts were great, dinners delicious and very reasonably priced (wife said the Rib-eye steak was the best 'pub steak' shed ever had and my chicken goujons were fantastic.

Nice country pub, room for solo occupant just right with comfortable bed, although would have liked a chair rather than stool. Good sized shower. Tv had internet connection. Good meals without being fancy and interesting beers
