This was without exception one of the most unique and enjoyable stays I’ve had anywhere. The houseboat has all of the bells and whistles that make for a great stay: the room was spacious, clean and had an extremely comfortable bed; the Wifi was quick and reliable; the food and tea were out of this world; and the houseboat had a breathtaking view of Dal Lake which made for the perfect way to start and end the day. Additionally, YB helped take care of the logistics of day trips and gave no shortage of recommendations on where to go, what to buy, and what to do, which really helped me focus on enjoying my time and not worry about planning and researching. They even provided Shakira rides to and from shore, to the floating market, and around the lake, which was extremely helpful and made for some beautiful views.
But what really separates Young Bombay from other lodging experiences are the people. Mohammad his family, and the staff go above and beyond to not only provide a great experience as a guest, but made me feel a part of their family. Their conversations, hospitality, and generosity make this place a special stay. I can’t say enough how welcoming, genuine, and wonderful the people at Young Bombay were and I look forward to my next stay here. I can’t recommend staying at Young Bombay more and appreciate all they do to make a stay here special and memorable!
