Amazing historical building.

Such a wonderful place at entrance of the the Medina of Tangier. A former bank building from 1907 transferred in the early 2000s to a hotel. After traveling for almost 3 weeks all over Morocco we had our last two nights in this historic place. Great service, excellent breakfast buffet, nicely decorated rooms. Very detail orientated decor of the hotel. The only shortcoming was the noise coming from the street at night. We had a balcony room, facing the street, lovely during daytime and in the evenings, but a bit noisy at night. Not the fault of the hotel, but if you have a light sleep you might want to ask a room facing not the street.

Excellent location, within walking distance of the Kasbah, city tour bus, and the ferry port. The hosts were beyond wonderful and went out of their way to help find alternative travel options after weather-related cancellations, especially when I couldn’t reach the transportation company. The service was highly customizable and personalized. I initially booked because of the location, but I would return for the exceptional hospitality.

The Palais Zahia is the best hotel I've ever stayed in, anywhere. Everything about this hotel is stellar--the building's beautiful architecture and unique spaces, the Moroccan ornamentation everywhere, the condition of the rooms, and the various restaurant choices (some of the best Moroccan cuisine I've had). The friendly and helpful management and reception staff stand out in particular. The cooks, restaurant servers, and room cleaners also contribute to the excellent experience.

Incredible value and experience.

This is a perfect haven in the middle of the bustling Medina. You enter from the street and find yourself in a calm, elegant, sophisticated and culturally rich environment which is nothing less than stunning. I will make it my regular stay in Tangier and will recommend it to everyone.

This is a superb facility with a tasteful Moroccan decor. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. The meals were delicious. I especially enjoyed my first hammam experience!! My only very slight criticism is that our beautifully appointed room did not have any good light for reading.

Small rooms as I think most Riads must be. Our room was overlooking the street so it was quite noisy. The restaurant was excellent and the staff was most helpful. A lot of money for what you get, but that also be normal. I would not stay there again because I prefer a hotel over a Riad. Live and learn!!

Best Breakfast, Most Comfortable Rooms

Nicest hotel we stayed at in Morocco. Rooms and lobby are breathtaking, and the buffet breakfast was delicious and had many wonderful options that we did not see elsewhere in Morocco. The bed was especially comfortable. Great location in the medina and not too far to walk from the ferry terminal, though a cab would be useful if traveling with heavy luggage. Wish we had a few more days here as it was a truly wonderful stay. Staff was extremely helpful and even offered a free walking tour through the medina. Massage and spa services were also available though we didn't have enough time to try. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Tangier!

First of all, my mother and I were cut with a glass on top of one of the restaurants tables; staff dismissed these. My mother bled a lot from her cut. Brought it to staff including front desk staff. 2ndly, towels seemed old and beige from not being properly washed-white origin. 3rd, toilet smell bad. Otherwise, room was nice but I do consider it too expensive for the service received.

If you want to stay somewhere which feels traditionally Moroccan then it should be here. Set in the middle of the medina amongst the markets and bars. Decor is how beautifully Moroccan and the staff are some of the most polite and helpful people I have met in the hospitality industry. Taxis can only take you so far into the Medina and you need to walk a couple of minutes to get to the hotel. It is tucked away and you could easily miss it, the taxi driver asked a local man to guide us. The Moroccan tea they offer you on arrival, taken in an area set up in the traditional Moroccan home style was a lovely touch. Would definately recommend and stay again.

Bellissimo Ryad proprio nella piazzetta del petit socco facile da raggiungere personale gentilissimo in tutto anche nella organizzazione trasferimenti e tour. Camere belle spaziose, letto comodo bagno con sanitari moderni ed anche bidet. Colazione a buffet ma su richiesta preparano anche omelette e uova in tegamino. Il ristorante non lo abbiamo provato per assoluta mancanza di bevande alcoliche (come in quasi tutta Tangeri) ma è bello e con un buon menù. Molto bella la terrazza vista mare. Da ritornarci!
