The rooms are located on the inland side of the road, while the reception and amenities are by the sea. I loved the room decorations and design with a 70s style. The bed is comfortable, and there is a daybed as well. The surrounding grounds are lush and beautiful. The hotel has great bikes for rent. If you walk or bike north of the hotel, you can reach abandoned luxury hotels and enjoy views over the mountain. At a shorter distance to the south, you’ll reach some restaurants, grocery shops, and Matira beach. The beach at the hotel has coral. There is plenty of fish and also stingrays. The lights at night make it possible to observe the fish, which is a nice feature. The pool is small but nice, though it is located by the bar, so I preferred using it outside of meal hours. Unfortunately, I got sick after dinner on my last night, so my final evening was not pleasant. Despite this, I would recommend this hotel, and it feels good to support a Polynesian-managed property.
