Located just a short walk away from Ueno Station, Ueno Park and shopping street. Room is small but adequate for solo traveller. I liked the free breakfast - there were many variety. The room was clean and comfortable. It was small but it's understandable since it's in Tokyo. The breakfast is delicious. The staff was approachable, and helpful. I wish there was more than one pillow for but I guess it is standard for single rooms in Japan since that's what I got in other hotels too. Definitely recommended. I will stay again if I can.

Pros: 1. Very close to Ueno metro station (1 min walk) and Ueno JR train station (5 mins walk) - both stations have enough connections that you could travel anywhere in Tokyo with ease. 2. Free drinks area in the afternoon and evening for coffee, tea, soda, ice bucket. 3. Buffet style breakfast - Japanese style only, mostly seafood and savoury, but some variety with breads and pastries for vegetarians. Some days the soup and rice/noodles dishes would be vegetarian but not daily. The variety is good enough for a short stay. 4. Helpful staff, speak conversational English, and helped with luggage delivery services. Cons: 1. Small room - but this seems to be standard size for most Tokyo hotels at this price point. 2. Breakfast could be a bit difficult for vegetarians, particularly if you're staying for a long period.

Breakfast was good and much needed, as there isn’t much open before 11:00 in Tokyo to get coffee and food outside of konbini. Excellent location for proximity to Ueno Station, and therefore access to the entire city. Deep bathtub and shower with excellent water pressure and very hot water which was wonderful after walking all day. I was a solo female traveler and felt very safe on premises and in the neighbourhood. The room was small, so I think this would be best suited to a solo traveller or a couple who are comfortable being in very close quarters. I would stay here again.
