Worst experience I have ever had

The worse hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was useless. I was charged 10$ a day for parking when I was not told when booking. Was told I had to pay to park for my stay at check in. Then I couldn’t even find a parking spot in the parking lot I have to pay to park in after a long day where I just wanted to come back and relax. When voicing my concern to the staff I was told I could park across the street (inconvenient after being on my feet for 9 hours) half of the outlets in my room did not work and one of them had a broken piece of cord in it. (Staff did not seem like they wanted to hear my concerns) the room was dirty!!!!! Sheets looks like they had mud on them and after being washed did not come out (if they were even washed) lotion or something was squeezed on the floor and left there. hotel smelled the potpourri covering a marijuana smell. Barely slept with the rowdiness of other guests and their guests. People were drunk in the hall ways their rooms and tail gating ing the parking lot (which I why I probably couldn’t find a parking spot that I was forced to pay for.

Overall it was a good stay

The hitel is very well located as it sits on the boarwalk and the beach literaly. The hotel was clean, offered basic toiletries, iron , dryer and confy beds. The hotel does not have restaurants although it says on this web it does, what it is is that there are two restaurants on the boardwalk but bot belong to the hotel tho from what the recepcionist explained to us.. has an indoor small pool that opens at 10 am. Rooms were big than average... overall, I had a glld experience since this was booked last minute.

good, but a few annoyances

comfortable, clean and friendly. no major complaints. however, the fact that the porch light stays on all night (BRIGHT) will disquade me from returning. I enjoy seeing ocean at night and watching sunrise... which the bright porch alway-on-light diminishes. also, the vendors below had loud music until late in evening.

Not a favorable review.

I always hate leaving bad reviews, so I will say that this is a MIXED review. I’ve already posted a review on our check-in and first evening. I will say this, after posting the review I received a call from the manager who apologized and offered to refund us our first night’s cost. Unfortunately the rest of our stay wasn’t much better. Our first night we were woke up at 3am by people staying in a room one floor above us who were drinking, smoking weed, and yelling. It took 2 calls to the front desk to have the issue stopped. Last night same thing, different room, and again, two calls to the front desk to have the problem resolved. We were finally able to go back to sleep at 5am. We were granted a late checkout by management for the inconvenience. Overall, I would rate our stay at the Americana a 2 out of 5 stars. Great location on the boardwalk and nicely updated rooms. From there, unfortunately, it goes downhill quickly.

Room 505, great location & good value

Hotel location was great. Right on the boardwalk. Room location was also great. Comfortable bed, clean & pretty quiet. Main negatives & I consider these big ones, were the WiFi & internet went down at 9pm. Was told 5 minutes but by 11pm I gave up. No worries it happens. Then the next morning, the shower wouldn’t drain. Like at all. Already undressed, I found myself trying to unstop it. No avail. So that was a huge negative. Unfortunate because the water was nice & hot & the pressure seemed great. Room 505. Please fix that!
