You get what you pay for with the cheaper rooms, the mattress was not suitable for purpose, the towels and bedding were clean, staff pleasant, electrics are borderline dangerous, Communal kitchen has a kettle and some appliances that are not fit for use, Heavily aged hotel, it’s an easy income for the owner as little money is spent,

Room was cold and smelled mould although it looked no mould. Somehow managed to turn on the heater. Toilet was dirty and looked like a portaloo in the construction site, very small. Didn’t feel like having shower as shower was also similar to the toilet, small.

Great value for money

Very friendly lady at the counter. We travelled to Newcastle recently for the Great North Run. The lady (I am so sorry for not remembering her name) had plenty of suggestions about how to get to the venue. She even let us keep the car parked after our check out. The location is very good as well. Buses and Metro available within a short walking distance. Great value for money!

Staff try their best. Rooms are dated and worn out. Bed was quite uncomfortable. Check out was early 10 am. Carpark is great, links to Newcastle via metro and bus is good. Formula one hotel was it's old name ( french I think) basic but dated.
