整修後外包經營的觀霧山莊是造訪觀霧遊憩區的不二選擇。住房舒適、清潔，早晚餐更是水準之上，比其他森林遊樂區的餐食精緻。總體性價比相當，又是唯一在國家公園內的食宿，值得給個讚。唯一缺點是雅房 (無衛浴房型)，是 5 間房共用二套衛浴，雖不至於常要等候，但二套衛浴同在走廊盡頭，隔音不足，第一個房間鄰近衛浴，水聲、吹風機聲接二連三，早起的、晚睡的其他房客用衛浴時，難免要造成第一、二間房客的困擾。
