The views and the breakfast!
Jeramie, 1-night trip

Beautiful area
Jennifer, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Location awesome, service attentive, food great, rooms excellent, what else do you wish. All rooms have great views, you are middle in the nature, sheep and Icelandic foxes roaming around.
Hendricus, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

A lovely hotel in a beautiful area. We also had our favorite meal in our entire trip here at the restaurant.
Ching, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Beautiful location. Walked to the beach twice and it’s super close, convenient and it was empty both times. Room and hotel is very new and nice. Our bathroom shower floor was crackers/chipped and should have been repaired but other than that hotel and restaurant are excellent.
Craig, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Charming rooms and setting. We splurged for dinner and it was excellent.
Miriam, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Cute hotel with a basic room. Breakfast wasn’t included and wasn’t a good value imo, but there were limited options nearby.
Kirk, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

A touch of luxury in an out-of-the-way location. Very quiet and peaceful, with views to the ocean and the tiny church. Dinner was delicious and breakfast very satisfying (although a bit expensive).
Paul, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Absolutely gorgeous views from this hotel and the staff at the hotel restaurant were fantastic.

Robert, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Absolutely stunning first class property. Rooms well appointed. Restaurant was excellent best seafood soup. Saw seals swimming from our balcony.
karen, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

Sub-standard, overpriced, food mediocre, seemed to be a tourist trap. Stayed 2 nights, awakened by drilling and hammering every day. Won’t be back to Hotel Budir
Adrienne, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

I had visited Iceland 10 years ago and stopped here but it was booked for a wedding. Glad to be able to stay. The location is beautiful and a 10 minute stroll to the beach. We stayed in the newer section and it was lovely and pampering. Food was excellent and there are plenty of gathering spaces. Definitely recommend it.

This is a gorgeous hotel in a pristine setting. Food was great. People were great. It was the highlight of our trip to Iceland. I can't wait to go back.
Jennifer, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Fantastic location, rooms and atmosphere. Nicely refurbished and really nice rooms. The only minus was that our dining experience was not up to the standard that the rest of the hotel represented. 3 of us had the fish and it was dry and overcooked. One of us had the lamb and it was mostly fat. When we told the waitress, she shrugged her shoulders and offered us an extra napkin… I would stay here again, but I would plan dinner somewhere else.
Lars, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Excellent hotel, had a wonderful experience.
Govind, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Many thanks for another wonderful stay at Hotel Buðir. Best location on the Snaefellsnes peninsula, spectacular views in every direction. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed with amazing views from every window. Either you're facing the mountains or the sea, or both. Best part - Hotel Buðir has the best bed linen and pillows of any hotel I've visited to date. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They went out of their way to ensure I had the best possible experience. Most importantly, the restaurant. The restaurant at Hotel Buðir is legendary for good reason. The menu showcases seasonal Icelandic cuisine, it is paired fown to the essentials. They offer both à la carte, and tasting menu (3 or 5 course). IMHO, the cuisine at Buðir is on par with any Michelin starred restaurant. The dinning room service is efficient, attentive and well informed. Don't miss the breakfast buffet, well curated- nobody goes hungry. Looking forward to my next adventure at Hotel Buðir.

10/10 Excellent

Beautiful property, very quiet when we stayed in winter. Absolutely picturesque setting. Perfect place to watch the stars from, even if you have to hide behind the little church to get away from the hotel lights - it would be nice if they turned off their outside lights when the aurora is on display. Good vegan options in the restaurant, but would be nice to have more options at breakfast.
Thomas, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

We spent a lovely two nights here. The views are spectacular. The staff are extremely nice and accommodating. Would stay here again. 10/10

Lauren, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Unbelivable place! Loved it. Highlight of our trip.
Reid, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

We had the superior room and it was worth the price. Beautiful interior, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. At the lobby is a great fireplace to stay a while in front of it. Tasty food and good selection of wine in the restaurant. If you are around, stay in this cozy hotel, you will not regret it for sure!
