The room and bathroom were spotless. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The breakfast was nice and it wasn’t noisy despite being next to the road. Overall a nice place to stay when exploring northern Shetland.

With Cruise ships blighting Lerwick, this country hotel overlooking the sea was a good find. a very individual inn, not quirky but functional. Showing it's age just a tad but would certainly say that it is good value for money (includes a cooked breakfast). Great location for visiting the northern islands of Yell and Unst as well as Scalloway and North Mavine. Roads on Shetland, especially the A Roads are well engineered and maintained so you can get everywhere on Mainland in an hour from here if you have hire car.

The hotel is very well situated for exploring the full area of the Shetland Islands. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is plenty of parking space and there is a fuel station next door and a very good fish and chip shop across the road, both of which are very useful.

Not the fanciest hotel BUT great location and the room was large, clean, comfortable and priced right! Couldn’t ask for more. Parking easy. Dinner was great. Breakfast was wonderful - what a way to start the day exploring Shetland. Ate one night at Frankie’s fish seafood - it was great. Make sure to make reservation if you want to eat at restaurant otherwise it will be take a way. Staff at hotel were great. I would stay here again.

Room very basic but comfy and mostly clean enough. Breakfast was nice but repetetive when staying longer than a few days. Staff were friendly and local chip shop and leisure centre were handy.

Easy to find, well located, onsite restaurant - which helps because Brae only has the chippie and one other place to eat and both of those close early! Eveythjng you need is here to pass through en route to Unst and beyond.
