Why would they give away my room!!! 😡

There was no stay!! Wood Springs gave my reservation away!!! I drove up there and was told that they tried to call me!!! That is ridiculous!! I had to find another hotel and drive to Circleville!!!

If you plan to stay at this Woodspring Suites location, you'll need to have the mindset of temporarily moving into a studio apartment. There are people, and staff, that live here. You'll need low light lamps and comfortable chairs ( I brought folding camping chairs). I also brought my full size air fryer because there's no oven, only a two-burner electric stovetop. Additionally, pots, pans, dishes, and silverware are not provided. The freezer has ice trays, so no industrial ice machine is on site. Almost all of the staff were all smiles and ready to help, no matter the time of day or night. Although my smoking room wasn't ready until two and a half hours after the 3 pm check-in time, it was clean and smelled wonderful!

The hotel was ok but I was on the first floor where the laundry room is located and there was a lot of traffic! It was noisy and had a funny smell to the hotel hallway. The door in my room had a big crack in it by the hinges. The tube had a few hairs in it! The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan so I had to wait for the mirror to defog in order for me to do my hair! The staff was super polite.

Everything was horrible. We couldn’t even stay the whole evening. Had to end up staying elsewhere. First the smell of cigarettes and weed was unbearable. I’m a former smoker so it takes a lot for it to bother me. There was so much the hallways were literally Smokey. On top of that, the downstairs check in area was clean, our room was not. There were so many people just standing in all the hallways being loud, like entire families. We left to get food shortly after arriving and when we returned the tv didn’t work. The remote was in multiple pieces. When I huge roach crawled in from under our door we decided to go down to speak with the front desk. However, there was no staff. The desk is only staffed specific hours of the day, so we had no choice but to leave.

Booked this well in advance for two separate rooms for me and my friend. On the day of arrival they called and left a voicemail to say they only had one room with one bed. When I said this was unacceptable, the hotel clerk hung up on me. If I had cancelled the day of arrival, they would have charged me. I was forced to stay elsewhere.

2am a couple was screaming at each other in the hallway for about an hour. 5:30am a dog was barking it’s head off right outside our hotel door. Apparently they allow pets. And about midnight I woke to smell of smoke. They also allow indoor smoking. The pillows were just a flat piece of fluff, the floor had t been swept, and the bed was miserable for sleeping.

It was so loud. It sounded like there was a stampede of toddlers above me and I could hear every single noise from the hallway. Then, when I tried to deadbolt the door before bed, I realized that the locking mechanism didn’t match the hole in the door frame so the deadbolt was inoperable. The hotel smelled like weed and McDonald’s French fries. We left after the first night and found a different hotel for the second night of our visit to Columbus.

The bed was very comfortable. The TV worked great and the room had good amenities. The problem is as soon as you walk through the security door. The whole place smells like a burning marijuana pile. The local grocery store had to have armed security guards so that tells you what kind of neighborhood it is.
