Perfect

My daughter and I stayed at the Heritage Hotel Cardo for two nights in April 2025. It is located inside the old Diocletian's Palace so it does not get more central. Everything else was also perfect. Will definitely recommend.

Lovely Hotel

We had an amazing stay from start to finish. We were treated like honoured guests by the entire staff, who made every effort to make sure every need was met. The location was amazing - within the palace walls and minutes walk from all the sites. We hope to return here in the future. Thank you!

This was the perfect place to stay in Split, just steps from the center of the old town and a very short walk to the harbor. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The concierges were all helpful and one of them, Ivan, helped me find and book the most amazing place to stay outside of Plitvice Park for our next stop. He called them personally to arrange a better price than what was on offer. Then he printed out detailed driving directions because we were strugging with out GPS. Over and beyond service. If we ever return to Split, we will stay there again.

So glad we found this place. Stayed at a total of 6 hotels during recent European trip and this, by far, was the best. The staff was as accommodating as any St Regis or the likes. While the rooms are small, you are inside the walls in the palace, beautifully appointed and very comfortable beds etc.

Our two day stay at Hotel Cardo was enjoyable, quiet, comfortable, and we felt well taken care of. Located smack in the middle of the old city, a 20 second walk from main square was the ultimate in convenience. As the area is a UNESCO protected site, the renovation of this old structure was nicely done with beautiful hardwood floors, doors, and furniture. The room was nice size, the bathroom large with all amenities and very good quality fixtures. As this hotel only had 5 rooms, we had excellent serivce for the staff who met us upon arrival outside of the pedestrian center to help with bags and getting us to the hotel. Thank you Dominic. Breakfast is served around the corner at a little restaurant and was massive with fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, bread and butter, a platter of prosciutto with cheese and fruit, a selection of eggs, then desert (chocolate cake or waffle with fruit). It is a meal that lasts all day. The location in the old town affored access to several dozen restaurants and even more bars all within a 5 minute walk. All in all, and despite the high cost for the room, we were very pleased and would highly recommend.
