it was a great stay, but unfortunately it rained the night before.. Croscombe, prone to getting flooded, but we pitched in, to tidy up.. and opened for Sunday lunch, which was pretty darn good, aswell

We received a very warm welcome from both the owners and the staff. Room was clean and compact. Evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Ideal location between Shepton Mallet and Wells. Would stay again, and recommend to friends and family.

loved my one night stay at the George Inn and wished it could have been longer. The George has the atmosphere of an ancient, old world public house with all the modern amenities a traveller would need. The hosts Peter and Veryan have succeeded in making the George a very pleasant place to stay. Their hospitality was warm and friendly, happy to spend time with their guests and adding a real sense of community to the George Inn which was so good to share.

Nothing I didn't like! It was a most happy stay, Peter and Veryan are a delightful couple and excellent hosts. All the staff are helpful and cheerful. The lounge bar with it's beautiful open log fire is a truly comforting place to sit. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others.
