saw some poor reviews before arriving so was a bit skeptical however it definitely outdid our expectations! it’s so convenient, very close to the central, clean, great that they have a luggage room and also so handy that it’s all a key code rather than cards and proper check ins (makes it much easier) will stay here again if we return to oslo!

Very convenient location near the central station and plenty of supermarkets nearby. Desk clerk was nice and quite helpful. Quite satisfactory kitchen and the balcony was a bonus. A few sachets of coffee andtea maybe a small milk in the fridge would have been helpful. There was a dishwasher but with only minimal crockery they should supply a tea towel

Room was ok, but only two sets of cutlery etc. meant you were using the dishwasher too much. The area is very multicultural which may feel threatening to some travellers and needs to be borne in mind. We found it ok but others may not. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location near the railway station with lots of public transport options.

Women watch out, sketchy men!

The hotel itself was cosy with no noise. Great room BUT be warned if you are a woman, this area is very sketchy and we did not feel safe to leave the apartment once it was dark outside. Groups of young men loitered around outside and make comments/give weird stares. We wish we would have known about this before booking as safety is a top priority for us and we had to rearrange our plans to ensure we would not be out at dark. We also had to do detours to get back to avoid particulate seedy areas like the closest park.

5 nights in Oslo

Room was clean and nothing out of order. No idea why the bedrooms have sliding doors but then no curtains over the windows so you can see in anyway. Everything in the room if you need to cook yourself with every utensil there. Starting is basic you have the dining table chairs, a beanbag or a tree trunk to sit on we ended up just lying on our beds. The digital entry having the same code as your room worked really well and saved all the hassle of keys or keycards. The only downside was that there was never any hot water for the shower in the early evening. It was ok first thing in they morning but at night time it was awful. Location is excellent, 15 minutes walk to the central area and buses and the subway very close by to get elsewhere.

I booked Forenom because it is an apartment hotel, rooms have a kitchen and i planned to self cater. However the microwave in my room was faulty. It was replaced on the morning that i left. I had bought frozen meals to cook, but as i was unable to use the microwave, i therefore ate out, and thus the meals were thrown away. Also, in this era of cyber crime and identity theft, i felt uncomfortable about the information that had to be shared in order to gain the entry code. To me, the hotel was well positioned. It was easy to walk to the centre and to nearby shopping. Apart from the inconvenience of the microwave, my room was very comfortable. The luggage storage availability was also very useful. My communication score was average, not because of the staff I encountered, who were extremely helpful and friendly. It was just that the desk was not always manned, so communication was through automated phone calls. I personally found it too clinical and impersonal. It was something one had to get used to. Having said that, the hotel was very competitive price wise, so I would stay there again (hopefully with a working microwave).

Catfishing photo's but not the worst stay

The photographs of this hotel are very misleading. I wouldn't have stayed here if i'd have read the reviews properly before I booked (my own fault). I tried to cancel and book somewhere else but i'd booked the non-refundable rate.I was very anxious on arrival but it wasn't the worst hotel i've stayed at. Luckily we weren't in it for long. Pros: Shower was hot & powerful Bed was comfy (but small!) Fridge was useful but we did have to clean it. Location is very convenient. It was quiet and blinds were decent. Cons: Location could feel a bit shady, but we didn't feel intimidated as we're from Manchester and were used to coming acress a few questionable characters. There were some long hairs on our bed sheets when we arrived. The smell in the communcal corridors is really really bad, probably because people are cooking in the rooms. That said it didn't filter into our room too much. The rooms are in need of redecorating, they are a bit rough round the edges. Bathroom had a shower curtain which was not particularly clean, felt a bit gross.
