It is convenient to the Brussels Midi rail station, but the area around the station and the hotel are very dirty - I didn't feel unsafe (didn't go out after dark) - but lots of trash on the streets. Brussels sites are not close - 30 minutes walk or 30+ on public transport. There is a decent grocery store around the corner from the hotel.
