Very pleased with our hotel choice. The receptionist was extremely helpful and informative on our arrival. Our room is well appointed, clean and tastefully decorated. Everyone was so friendly at the hotel and Elsa very helpful. They made us a dinner reservation and allowed us to bring breakfast up to the room when I didn’t have enough time to eat and then get ready. The room was comfortable open the windows was really nice! Great location right next to the castle in the parking was super easy. They also helped us find the best route to drive up to the castle, which made it a lot easier than trying to navigate the little streets. The breakfast buffet was simple, but everything was so so delicious!

Marvao was such a cute mountaintop village with a castle. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I would suggest asking for a room away from the road since our room was right next to the road and the tire noise was loud on the cobblestones as cars and trucks pasted by. There was no noticeable traffic at night so the room was very quiet then. The staff are excellent. Breakfast was very good. We stayed for two nights and considered our stay as a quiet retreat from our busy Portugal trip. We had a lovely time here.

This was one of our favorite places we stayed in Portugal. The hotel was extremely charming with excellent staff. It’s located within the castle walls and near the entrance of the castle, which is open 24/7. The hot tub area is by reservation only (no charge), so me and my husband drank wine and watched sunset all by ourselves. They also provide thick robes in the bedrooms for this. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of options to choose from: meats, cheeses, cereal, fresh pastries, fruit and more. Highly recommend staying at this lovely Inn.
