It's a hosten in a nice and convenient neighborhood (near Metro). The beds were good, clean and comfortable. However the showers are quite run down, and not the cleanest. However, given the price what you normally would pay in DC. It's still a good deal.

Worst self check in experience. The pods were plastic everyone someone moved it was like rolling a ball in a bucket. The clocks, etc inside were not even real and didn’t work. The showers were in the basement with exposed piping etc. maybe what I’d expect in SE Asia or Central America, not Washington DC.

After getting to the property, I noticed multiple notices about checking in online and downloading an app to access the doors. Fortunately an app was not absolutely required, as my phone was dead. They can provide a manual code to get get in. The guy checking me in was very polite and helpful. The capsule could definitely use more plugins; there are only 2 (different) types of USB plugs. If one is not working and you don't have the other kind, then good luck getting charged up ! The Free Pizza Thursday was also an unexpected touch. I spent the entire day traveling, and it was a great relief to finally arrive, and have access to everything I needed. It was a little tricky to find the place, though. Signage isn't easily visible at night, and the place appears to be a coffee shop at first glance. Overall, good value. Would stay again.

Not the cleanest property and realistically when booking a place like this that’s the most important factor, I booked this since it was comfortably the cheapest place available to stay in DC but the expectation is still for cleanliness. Stained bedsheets & towels, at least the showers were clean & cleaned daily but they were let down by a fly infestation, overall could’ve been a lot better but comparably price wise it wasn’t terrible.

Mixed reviews did make me worry about this place but honestly I had no issues, the place was always clean and tidy, the location was excellent and people were so friendly. It was my first hostel experience so I was a little worried but the pods are fab! I would totally recommend this place to people. The only thing is the front desk isn't manned all the time so this can make things difficult for those checking in
