The Crandall Mountain Lodge was an attractive, pleasant, modest hotel with a historic mountain vibe. Very clean and well maintained the unit I had was quiet and comfortable. Everything worked well and was in very good shape. There was no air-conditioning but the room had an effective ceiling fan and windows that opened easily and caught the breeze. I especially liked the gas fireplace for cool mornings and the comfortable bed. A tray with specialty tea and a cookie was waiting for me and my stay was most enjoyable.

Stayed in the Bears Den Suite Great Parking ..Great Jet Tub for end of day soaking after Long Hikes Amazing, King size Bed and pillows very Comfortable Great Sleeps now the Negative…No TV and No AC just a working floor fan and a ceiling Fan ..the Suite is not in the direct Sun so it did remain comfortable in temperature the fans are a must 24-7. We will book this suite again cause of the Jet Tub and The Comfy Bed.

Very clean and accommodating room after a rainy and cold few nights camping prior! The complementary tea and coffee was very nice as well. Not a fancy place but a cozy one!

Unfortunately this hotel is quite run down. We stayed in the bears den room and were disappointed by broken curtain rods, lack of cleanliness, lack of maintenance and efforts to keep it looking well maintained inside and out. The decor is very dated...not charming rustic. It does have a very cool king size log bed frame that is quite nice and we appreciated the 2 chairs and table to have morning coffee or evening drinks. The fireplace is unusable....esthetic only. Location is great. The hotel provides fans for summer, heaters for winter. Overall, disappointing.

The Crandell Mountain Lodge was not quite what the pictures show. When we were there the outside needed a good sweeping from the fallen pine needles. The font door to the 5 individual rooms had a broken screen that needed to be fixed. We didn't know how to get heat since it was rainy and cold for us and apparently the front desk didnt even know what kind of heat we had. By the time maintenance came we figured it out. The room was OK but one of the beds really needed to be replaced. If it wasnt squeeky everytime you moved, I thought I was going to loose my friend in the bed because it sank in so much. I could stay here again because I know what to expect but definitely would look at other places first.

Conveniently located in the park. Building is old. Otherwise has all necessary amenities. Ample parking. Staff is very helpful.
