Perfume was very clean, fairly well equipped, and comfortable. It has all the necessities one would need to stay there. The best part was that we were a few steps from the boardwalk. That was very convenient for us an older couple to be able to not have to walk as far.

Good enough if you don't need something updated

This place is at the center of the action, but surprisingly quiet. The staff was very friendly and rooms came with beach tags. Houses down the shore have gotten so expensive and motels like this have become the only options for many. I do think, however, that this place is a over-priced for what you actually get. Our room wasn't ready at check-in time which was extremely frustrating after a long drive. Ditto for a few other families. The elevator is slow and the line backs up at check-in time, so be prepared to wait. Each room is slightly different and ours (222) could use some work. The bedroom and kitchen area were fine. The bathroom grout was extremely dirty and needed a good cleaning. The digital clock was flashing and the wall clock was out of batteries (no big deal, but these are easy fixes). We showered late in the day and the water was lukewarm. We thought it was the timing, but it happened again in the morning. The beds are not too comfortable and the pillows are thin. Housekeeping consists of trash removal, but beds were not made (no big deal). Towels will be replaced if left on the floor. Bottom line: If you're a go-with-the-flow person who just wants to be near things, you will be fine here. If you want high-end, this isn't for you.
