We just loved our stay from start to finish. Karen is so welcoming and warm. We just couldn't fault it. Delicious breakfast surrounded by antique furniture on stone flagged floir, sparkling silver teapot. Cooked and served by Karen whio couldn't do enough for us. We forgot where we had booked for dinner and Karen' spent ages trying to help us find the correct pub! One word - go!

We had a fantastic stay at The Cornmill in York and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with so much attention to detail that it really felt like a home away from home. The location was ideal for exploring York, making it easy to enjoy everything the city has to offer while still having a lovely, peaceful place to return to at the end of the day. What really stood out was the care and thought that had gone into our stay. Everything we could have needed was provided, and the whole experience felt welcoming, relaxed and special. We absolutely loved our time at The Cornmill and would happily stay here again on our next visit to York. A real gem and a fantastic place to stay! ❤️

The Cornmill and hosts were very good and a nice secluded place to be. Guests were quiet and respectfull, it was convenient for walking into KirbyMoreside for evening meals and the breakfasts are amongst the best prepared I've ever had.

What an amazing find. The property is in peaceful surroundings & totally fascinating, very unique, so special, the interior is incredible and totally compliments the era of this beautiful property. Karen the host is bubbly and friendly, we had a very welcome cup of tea and shortbread on arrival, served in the lounge. Our room was peaceful, with sumptuous bedding, quality furniture, tv, tea/coffee facilities, powerful shower - all you need. Slept like a log. Our delicious breakfast was served in the poshest dining room ever. We were visiting for the nearby Pickering classic car show, we also went to the very pretty village of Thornton le Dale where Bangers and Cash programme is from & great pleasure to meet Derek who had time for us!!!! Just wonderful…. & had fish & chips at Whitby - a place called Angels - on the sea front, Wow. This property is so convenient for visiting so much! Thanks very much Karen 🤗

LOVELY STAY

Stayed 3 nights at The Cornmill. We had a lovely room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious and Karen was a perfect host. We walked into Kirbymoorside each evening for a meal and drink, it was a short enjoyable walk. Whilest there we visited: Hutton-le-Hole, Lastingham, Helmsley, Whitby and The Ryedale Show. Our stay was just perfect. Thank you Karen.
