Perfect place to stay. Greeted by Debora, an amazing host, I instantly felt as though I had known her for years. So helpful showing us around and telling us about Lucca with suggestions of what to do and see. So much detail in the room, plenty of luxurious towels, a hair dryer with a diffuser for all you curly haired people, beautifully decorated, modern, all toiletries provided, access to a kitchen which was home from home where there was endless water, sparkling water, tea, coffee, cookies and pastries. Access to a fridge. It was a real joy to stay there. Debora also provided ear plugs as others have mentioned there can be some noise from the bar next door. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Perle D’Ambre.

Perfect place for couples.

Wonderful guest house. Word to the wise, not a quiet spot. It's right on a main path for foot and auto traffic with an Irish pub below. The noise did not bother us one bit. The hostess, Debra, was very sweet and helpful. Kitchen is stocked with sweets, coffee and tea. Wine available for purchase. We loved it.

Debora, the owner, is a lovely lady and is friendly and helpful. The property is just inside the city walls and very well appointed. The kitchen has everything you could want including a milk frother for cappuccino. The local Irish are is downstairs but the noise levels are not bad. And the world's best earplugs are included into the room, just in case.

We were very happy with our stay in Lucca! What a wonderful small town and beautiful community! There is so much to do and see, we wish we had stayed longer. There were so many restaurants and cafes as well as cute shops! We loved walking along the old walls around the city. We could not have picked a better place to stay. Our room was spotless, but the hostess Deborah was the highlight. She was so incredibly welcoming and accommodating! She kept in regular contact with us up to arrival even as our schedules changed and was there to greet us warmly when we arrived. She welcomes you as if you were coming home and is incredibly helpful. We would absolutely stay again!

The owner, Debora, was simply amazing, very friendly and proud of her hotel. It had all the accommodations and some extras. We could use the kitchen, had free coffee and all kinds of fountain water, free foods and cookies. The Room was perfect, Location is a short 5 minute walk to the train station. A stocked and very clean Kitchen was great, Deborah the owner is very nice, she takes great pride in making her property beautiful. Full disclosure there is a bar on the first floor so you hear people talking till late in the evening. If that doesn’t bother you the property is perfect. We would stay again.
