10/10. The hotel is VERY clean and you can see they work really hard to make sure of that. Our host was very helpful, booking a trip for us to see a cultural dance and organising our transport/negotiating a good price for the journey for us. Very nice breakfast too. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Very good value. Very handy location for accessing the lions rock. The breakfast was excellent. Somewhat dated rooms , and there was an opening in window which I filled with toilet paper to stop mosquitoes. Otherwise ,no issues. Would definitely stay again.

Very friendly and helpful staff and a lovely setting. Happy to arrange tours, taxis etc. The restaurant area on the edge of the forest away from the main road meant it was quieter than other hotels but still walkable to the sites.

道路から少し入った場所でそのお陰で自然豊かで静かでした。朝は鳥や動物の鳴き声で起きました。朝食も美味しいし満足な量が有りフルーツも美味かったです。スタッフもとてもフレンドリーで優しく最高でした。アメニティーはドライヤーとお茶のポット、トイレットペーパー2ロール、バスタオルです。部屋も掃除が行き届いて居て清潔感が有り、ありがとうございました。

We loved our stay at the Hungry Lion - super close to the Sigiriya rock (we walked). The nicest thing is the location and friendly atmosphere. For a budget accommodation the room was clean and fresh, a few ants in the bathroom but no big deal. Air con was great -3 restaurants to walk to. A rustic stay in a beautiful location for seeing wildlife. This was one the best parts of our trip and would love to have stayed longer so much wildlife at the location we saw 2 hornbills and elephants on the road on our drive out. Thank you to the lovely people there and we did like your dogs x

This hotel is in sigiriya which is a village type community near Sigiriya Rock. So you don't expect facilities you might find in a large city. The room was spacious safe and quiet. There was no fridge or tv which was fine. There are no supermarkets in this area but there were adequate dining options nearby. The hotel was perfectly comfortable for a short stay in Sigiriya.

Very nice place. Simple. Nothing fancy. Great for backpackers. The staff is very helpful. I think they are not always on site but easily reachable by whatsapp and quick to respond. The breakfast was excellent. We were able to walk to sigiriya rock. There are some good dining options nearby. The road is a bit dangerous to walk on at night because of traffic.

La chambre est spacieuse et propre. Les hôtes étaient très sympathiques. Ils ont eu la gentillesse de nous faire participer à la préparation du dîner (un kottu, spécialité locale). Nous y avons passé une excellente soirée. L’établissement est situé à 200 m de l’entrée du site du Rocher du lion.

Excellent Stay

Really nice stay. Very close to restaurants nearby and had a very nice breakfast. The staff were very friendly and organised a cultural show for us. There was plenty of parking and the room was very clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again.

Best place we stayed

The best place in Sigirya! We loved the place and extended 2 times our stay because it’s so comfortable! The rooms are big and clean it was perfect for what we needed. The breakfast is include and the plates are amazing lots of food and very tasty. Also the people who works here are helpful, nice and kind heart person. The chef even made us a 5 stars diner and let us stay in the kitchen to show us how some of the dishes are made. Location is also ideal very close from everything.
