It is not a 9+ rate hotel as it shows on the reviews. The staff was the best part of the hotel, but if you are looking for a 4 stars, with an excellent rate, it is not your place. Bed sheets were of poor quality, humidity signs all over the room and the bathroom. The pool seemed dirty. If you are looking for a not expensive ok hotel, maybe it can be defined liked that.

I had a great stay at Laguna Praia. For me, during the hotter months, a good AC and good shower really help the experience. Laguna had both. Friendly staff, great breakfast, and laundry service (extra fee) were extra nice. Two things to consider - bed is on the firmer side (I slept fine) and you’re steps away from beach walk so there can be some people noise at night (which was fine for me). Overall, wonderful stay in JP at Laguna.

The hotel is nice and well located. The main feature, the reason why I booked it, and in fact the picture on my reservation is the rooftop pool that was closed for maintenance. I would not have stayed there if I knew about. Staff was no helpful and just told me Expedia knew about the maintenance. Overall, staff (excluding the nice people working at the restaurant) was a major problem. I was barely greated cordially, I was not acknowledge as gold member or offered any perks for being one. I was neither offer any compensation for the pool closure. Quite frankly, I do not see the point of being a good member.
