"Every few years I check into a hotel and am given a key to a room that has not been cleaned. It happened again here and the hotel found a nice room in the same category and after ten minutes I was in the new room. But the hotel seems stretched to the limits in the busy summer holiday season -- understandable, but not attractive. Nearby Zoo is one of the best in the world and worth a full day visit. "

"This was a functional stay to break a journey from Calais to Germany. From the outside it looks really dated but we were given a warm welcome by reception. The room itself was a bit sparse and the curtains had holes so I think the hotel needs a facelift inside and out. However the staff were great and we enjoyed a nice breakfast."

"Charming property! Very warm welcome, lovely big family room, comfortable beds and delightful home made continental breakfast. If you want nightlife on your doorstep this isn’t your place, but if you want a cosy and classically French stopover with a great host then this is a great bet."

"It is a classic feeling French space that is spacious but just be prepared for things not to be at 4 star level. Full access to the kitchen is nice and you will have large downstairs and outdoor areas to use. If you have mobility issues avoid because of the circular staircase. Quiet area. "
