"I found the staff to be all very very helpful indeed. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was also excellent . Juice, fruit! Joghurt, meat and cheeses, and a variety of croissants and local biscuits. Staff were present to make coffee or tea. The “Convivio “ breakfast room was nicely decorated with a wall of pictures and prints. Great location, close to the centre of everything. Great stay, thankyou."

"Fantastic location if you are a city-center person. Eas exactly what we where looking for. Just go out the door and you are in the main (walking) road… Mantova was a nice experience of something real Italian after some day with the other tourists in Garda lake. Besides this is a really lovely and lovely city. Clean and quiet after midnight. Ps we run the friendly 10 km in the Mantova half marathon. A perfect way to do a city! "

However we were disappointed by 2 things: - the reception staff were rude (“sorry talk to my colleague I’m doing something urgent”, “now you have to pay” after I asked the details of a bill and confirm this is fine, another one hanging up on me on the phone…) - the junior suite was just a large room (nothing that would typically justify the name “suite” such as a proper sitting area)"

"This is, indeed, a grand hotel. A most comfortable stay, right in the heart of the old town. Wonderful and helpful staff helped guide me to parking in the pedestrian area. Great breakfast with a lot of variety. Comfortable bed and good air conditioning during a warm stay. 10/10 would recommend. Check out the rooftop panorama!"

"There was quite a bit of work and construction going on around the area, but surprisingly, it was very quiet at night despite the hotel being located in the city center. The hotel itself felt almost magical, with a beautiful atmosphere, and the room and amenities were great. My only disappointment was that it wasn’t clearly stated that some rooms on the third floor have no windows. I wish this had been mentioned in the room description, as it would have helped me make a more informed choice when booking. Other than that, I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is centrally located, comfortable, and a great base for exploring the city."
