“This little gem on the waterfront in Chania is great for a short stay to experience the town. Lovely breakfast, friendly staff and close to all the interesting sights in Chania town.”
“We had an amazing honeymoon stay at this hotel. The room was new and very clean. The provided robe and slippers were a great touch!
The best part is the staff. They were attentive, helpful, and friendly. They went above and beyond and sent a very sweet honeymoon gift and note.
The location is central and a short walk to a safe underground public parking lot (paid) and grocery store. Breakfast on the rooftop was consistent and very tasty.
11/10 hotel! Would stay here again in the heartbeat.”
“A beautiful room in a historic centuries old building. Clean and comfortable with careful attention to every detail. The location was right in the heart of the old city. The owner is a great lady willing to help or provide information. The worst thing about our stay was that we couldn't stay longer.”
“This was a unique palace in old town Chania and totally stunning. We were in a duplex room with two bathrooms and a jacuzzi. It was memorable and beautiful.”
“A truly fabulous hotel, such a wonderful experience. Beautifully decorated, authentic and luxurious. The hosts were just lovely, full of helpful advice, recommendations and local history. A fab location close to the old port and old town. A short walk to the town beach. Couldn’t recommend this more highly. Thank you Alex & Andreas”
“10/10 – An exceptional stay right in the heart of the Old Town. The location is perfect, with shopping and dining just steps away. The staff were amazing—friendly, attentive, and welcoming—and the breakfast was excellent. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Chania.”
“Had a lovely stay at Alcanea in the off season, it’s a great location in Chania Old Town.
Kyriaki couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive with any requests I had for things to do or organising taxis etc.
The building has a lot of character and history
