"Palais de Chine is well placed near the HSR, MTR and Bus Stations. It is easy to move from the hotel around the city via these modes of transport. The hotel is next door to a major shopping centre which is very handy. Our room was comfortable, clean and the entire staff were very welcoming. The buffet breakfast is very expansive! A great 3 day stay."

"This is a very quirky charming hotel with a lovely cafe on the ground floor. Each room is unique and many have unusual features (for example the bath tub in the room we stayed in was on the glassed in porch reached by two steps--a handrail would have been nice). But in the world of anonymous cookie-cutter hotels it was a very charming change. Breakfast is not available with the room and is only possible if you order it the night before, but the cafe which opens at 10AM has excellent breakfast...

"My luggage was lost but was found at the end of day. Room has strong odor smell. Seems like a humidity smell. Shower was leaking. We complaint & they fix it. Location is good. Care-four supermarket next door. Buffet breakfast food is pretty good. Staffs were friendly & helpful. "

"A much different feel that some of the large, multi-story hotels we stayed at in Taipei and Taichung. This felt really homey and cozy and like an owned apartment. The staff was super friendly, the location was great and the hotel was small but very nice. "

"Staff Tu was amazing helping me with a few issues during my stay. The limited breakfast and snacks were a bonus! The room smelled a bit since there was no window and Taiwan is so humid. Other guests are very noisy in the halls and use the hair dryers at 3am/6am! First time I’ve had to wear ear plugs to bed at a hotel. "

"I enjoyed a short stay at the Cattail Pocket in. I found it easy to find after using the Y13 exit. I arrived at 6:45am and reception was not open until 7am. Fortunately the receptionist arrived 10 min early and checked me in right away. I had a private room with a private bathroom. The room was comfortable and clean but the noise from the road and constructed next door was loud. I was able to have a nap despite the noise.
