"This property was centrally located to Hawthorn and close to the conference I was attending as well as food shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. It had a small kitchen which allowed us to prepare simple meals. The parking was underneath and reasonably priced."

Tens of calls were made to the phone number given for the property (by myself and Hotels.com), but got a recording each time that it was a mobile phone that was switched off. Hotels.com offered me an unacceptable hotel at the airport 33km away!"

"My favourite hotel in Melbourne - top end of Bourke Street, which is a great area for restaurants, bars, green spaces etc. The hotel staff are wonderful - they always make me feel very welcome; their service is impeccable. The rooms are excellent - I usually book the premium king - just a note to ask for the larger ones - there are two different sizes. The slightly smaller one is still great, but I like to be able to walk around my space. I haven't tried the restaurant - Dollys."
