"The customer services was horrible my room had the worst smell. I had to request another room and had to pay then when I got the new room it smelled so horrible. I would like my money back for the payment of the knew room.

"We arrived at excellence at 1pm. We were told that our room wasn't ready as yet. We were told check in was at 3 and to go have lunch till then. We got back to the front desk at 3. Our room still wasn't ready. We sat in the reception area for an additional two and a half hours. We had to go back to reception repeatedly to get any updates. First we were told it was a maintenance issue and they had to switch rooms. Then they told us it was being cleaned. We were told they would upgrade our room for the inconvenience. We finally got into our room at 5:45. Reception called to check that we were comfortable and reiterated that we would be upgraded. Our toilet started leaking so we called reception. They sent maintenance. Then told us that yes they would upgrade us the next day for a few days but not for the entirety of our stay. We declined the upgrade. The bed was ok. The pillows were flat as a board and hard as a rock. Very uncomfortable nights . For our inconvenience they offered us dinner on the beach and access to the ex excellence club amenities. Day 1 we went to the private Beach. Nice set up. Concierge service with coveted cabanas. No lounge chairs to tan. I was given the option of laying a towel on the sand to get sun. Private dinner got rained out so dinner was on a private balcony. Dinner was good except for the roaming aggressive cats. We will not be going back. The staff was exceptional. The room size and layout fantastic. But our experience was not excellent."
