Love this hotel, friendly staffs, clean and a comfortable stay.

Great location, friendly staff and breakfast buffet option is nice. Spacious and plenty parking spaces.

The staff was helpful and kind right as we entered the lobby. When for a recommendations for dinner they not only made reservations on our behalf, they wanted to make sure we got there and went out of their way to give us a photo of the place and drew a detailed map for us. The onsen was wonderfull. They had everything one could wish for. 3 bathes: outdoorish, indoor hot and indoor cold. They had all the creams and soaps one could need. The staff are wonderful and very welcoming! Every part of the ryokan was beautiful and clean. The dinner was an extraordinary experience. We loved our stay.

Room was clean, comfortable and relatively spacious. Breakfast was very good and lots of options. Location was great. Train station, castle, canal road, mall and restaurants all in walking distance. Highly recommend.

We stayed for four days and had a very enjoyable visit. We booked a double room, which was slightly on the small side, but it was very comfortable and had a wonderful view of the city. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and the outdoor hot baths were a real treat. The free shuttle bus to and from the station, which takes around 20 minutes, was really helpful. Great hotel overall, ideal location and fantastic staff! The only thing that prevented me from giving this a perfect rating was that the bathroom was quite dated with the finishes. Everything worked fine, just in need of an update compared to all other room finishes.

comfortable beds

I stayed at the Kyoto Via Inn before and had great impression, so I booked the Okayama Via Inn as well. However, the hotel is convenient as it is connected to the train station but there's a restroom smell in my room and full of black mold around the window that makes me feel quite uncomfortable.

Front desk was very helpful in switching my reservation from a smoking to a non-smoking room. Rooms were decently clean, and the location is conveniently located near Okayama station.

Excellent breakfast. Responsive and friendly staff. No frills in room but many amenities at front desk. 10 minute walk to station, and 8 minute drive to Sanyo. Shopping and eateries within a few minutes in all directions.
