Hotels in Innoshima

Just the most incredible experience we've ever had in a hotel. So much more that just a hotel, it's a whole Japanese luxury experience. Every member of staff was just incredible - friendly, efficient and really made the experience from the moment we stepped off the dock on the island because they met us there. The rooms are stunning - the pictures don't do them justice. The gardens are beautiful throughout the hotel - they feel very traditionally Japanese. The bathhouse is also stunning, I would...

This hotel is unlike anything I have seen in Japan. It has California/Palm Springs vibes thanks to the modern open air architecture, white washed clean buildings, amazing indoor/outdoor flow, and fantastic location right on the water. We stayed in one of the private cottages which face the water and we had an unobstructed view of the bridge. Despite being about 50m back from the waters edge, our cottage had an amazing breezy and almost tropical feel. Thanks to the very cleverly laid out...

Such a beautiful hotel, and loved the onsen!

The location was great. The rooms were clean and “efficient.” The staff were all very professional, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices.

I became very aware of my American biases based on my first impression. But I quickly found out what a beautiful authentically Japanese experience this was. It’s hard to get there, but if you find the right bus line, you can get from Fukuyama station all the way up to the national park. The property is older and a bit dated, but it just feels historical to me.

If you love the idea of staying in a traditional Japanese house, this place is for you. Very clean and quiet. Nice to have access to a kitchen. The host was very warm and friendly. Close to the port, market and delicious restaurants. We were very happy with our stay.

We absolutely loved this place. It was by far our favorite stay during our 10 days in Japan. Definitely recommend spending extra on the dinner, it was amazing.

This was a very nice, straightforward hotel with everything we needed. The room was spacious, and the large bathroom was well designed. Breakfast was merely passable, but reasonable for the price. The automated check-in and checkout did not work for us, even with staff assistance, though the system may work better for regular guests. The hotel’s greatest advantages are its spectacular view of the castle and its proximity to the train station. It is extremely convenient, although guests who are...

We love our stay, its a perfect halfway rest of our shimanami kaido cycling.

Warm, friendly, and welcoming staff. Clean rooms and furnishings. Excellent location near train station and delicious restaurants. Very highly recommended. If the owner is reading this review, please thank the entire staff on my behalf. Arigato gozaimashita

On a somewhat iffy looking street but it is not an issue. A very close walk to town and the train station . Staff is very helpful. Hotel is very nice, rooms have a zen quality. Hotel arranged to ship our bags too

Beautiful location and view was incredible! Onsen are clean and lots of amenities. Meals included with the stay (12 course kaiseki dinner and breakfast buffet) were soooo delicious. Staff was very helpful including bringing an early shuttle bus in for just the two of us so we would be on time for our Shinkansen! Many Japanese travelers and very few foreigners so not a lot of staff speak English but they were very helpful and accommodating. It was much more of a more Japanese vibe versus the...

Such a quaint and charming place! The hotel reflects traditional Japanese architecture and decor. Very delicious Japanese breakfast. Extremely satisfied!! Close to bunny island too! The hotel staff helped us get a taxi to get to the bunny island dock.

Incredible views, a beautiful 100 year old home, and excellent service from our hosts. Highly recommend staying at this iconic location!!

Fukuyama city is a hidden jewel. Most of the bullet trains stop here and the access to major places, including Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Yokohama, Tokyo, and Fukuoka is a direct line. If you want to visit Tomonoura where major movies scenes were taken, including Studio Ghibli and The Wolverine, I highly recommend Fukuyama.

A beautiful room in a beautiful hotel. So very close to the JR line station (200 meters door to door), easy access to the rest of Japan via the Shinkansen Trains, a great hub for exploring Western/Southern Japan. Only 30 minuets to Hiroshima, 2 hours to Osaka, and under 5 hours to Tokyo.

Only issue I had is that the small Cafe at front desk opens at 9 am. It has great view and the bar is cute and cozy. Staff is kind and helpful.

If you plan on doing the Shimanami Kaido e-bike tour, this is a great hotel. We had views from our room of the first bridge and island. On our e-bike return from Onomichi, we had views of our hotel from the same bridge. Close to everything.
