ONOMO Hotel Maputo
8/10 Good
"Great location and manager, but notable service gaps What I liked: The location of ONOMO Hotel Maputo is fantastic—it is truly near everything in the city! A few days into my stay, the ceiling in my first room started leaking. However, the hotel manager stepped in quickly and moved me into a much bigger, upgraded room with a fridge. The catering/restaurant staff and the manager were wonderfully friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. The breakfast buffet was also great and hot when I first started eating it. What could be improved: The breakfast buffet tended to get cold later in the morning. When I raised a concern about this, the frontline reception staff were unfortunately not very friendly or welcoming. Furthermore, despite booking an airport shuttle well in advance, the front desk forgot about it; I had to manually remind them to find out where my driver was. At 2,100 MZN (around £25), the shuttle felt quite expensive for a service I had to chase up myself"
Polana Serena Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent hotel all around. Could do with signage for rooms since the place is huge. All around, great place."

HOTEL MIRAVA
8/10 Good
"I had a nice stay! The location is perfect if you want to stay right downtown to visit iconic places like the Catedral Nossa Senhora da Conceição (Sé Catedral de Maputo), Conselho Municipal, Casa de Ferro, Rádio Moçambique, etc.It is definitely not a luxury place, but it is a cozy, highly affordable, and secure spot to sleep. My room was entirely clean, the bed was nice, and they provided the basic essentials like shampoo and soap. There is also a small, convenient café and restaurant right near the reception area, and the security on-site made me feel very safe. The cleaners and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my time there. The property could definitely be improved if they did a revamp of the furniture and the toilets, as the interior is a bit outdated. I also felt the complimentary breakfast could be better. It is currently heavily focused on a Chinese clientele, serving items like noodles and a watery soup. I was expecting a little more local variety—like fresh fruit, cheese, ham, and a toaster to toast bread. However, because it is free, you just have to expect the basics… Overall, it was a wonderful, budget-friendly experience and I would definitely stay here again! And thanks for the early check in!"
Hotel Terminus
10/10 Excellent
"This was my second stay recently. Itbis really value for money. The facilities are very good and the staff is helpful and friendly. Although I speak Portuguese, English is spoken and understood the breakfast is generous and the restaurant has a very good menu for other meals. I highly recommend the Hotel Terminus."
