"The resort is a smaller boutique style with well appointed villas. The staff are amazing, you are truly treated like family by all members of the resort staff. Food was high quality. There are always activities going on so you can be as active or as relaxed as you want."

"I don't write too many reviews, but this resort surpassed all expectations so I felt I must. Overall, the place is amazing. The grounds were beautiful and exceeded even the nicer of many hotels we've stayed at in Hawaii. Lots of activities and cultural things to do. The room was clean and spacious and bed was comfy, and had great views of the grounds and ocean. The food: phenomenal! All food in the resort was great and had a real culinary feel to it with a wide variety of options. Have to mention the next door Beach Bar and Grill and Crab Shack, they are a must visit. Hands down best food we've ever had on vacation. Spa was great with beautiful views. Couples massage was very relaxing. Lastly, the staff: the nicest, most helpful people you'll ever meet who are super friendly and genuinely care. Always greet you in passing and always were smiling. I must mention a few: Susie and Jone at the Vahavu Pool Bar, Manasa at the Kalokalo Bar and Jone at the Bell desk - Thank you guys so much for making this extra special. Promise to see you again, Vinaka!"

Yatu Lau Lagoon Resort

"I booked this place because it was right next to the dive shop I was diving with. The place looks great from photos, unfortunately the rooms are very run down with paint coming off the ceiling in the bathroom and water stains on the floor and even baked on grime on the bathroom mirror. The staff were helpful but the restaurant was lacking alot of food from the menu and even coke was not available at the bar. Outside my room I found several empty beer bottles and some old food containers that had been left behind from someone. The tv in my room would turn on but no channels seemed to work. The decor is very old and the lighting in the room really needs an upgrade. On the up side it does have a fan and air conditioning that worked well."
