Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Breakfast choices were excellent. Parking was adjacent and plentiful. All staff we met were good.
The room (139) felt a bit weary, the beds not particularly comfortable. The shower was over a bath, ok, but the bath sides were very high for people with stiff legs. One lamp was not working, the toilet flush handle was loose on the wall.
Nothing dreadful but could be improved."
"The room was very warm overnight. But it was overlooking the Bush Dogs who are so cute (follow my leader!). First time staying in a room (and note a suite), but to be honest the only difference was it just had a shower and not a bath. I will be back."
"This hotel is great for the location to the cathedral but i am afraid this the breakfast was the only great thing about it. All the staff we encountered were lovely but this hotel is tired and run down. We had a deluxe room but there was nothing deluxe about it apart from a balcony with a view but the balcony was dirty and there was no chairs to sit out on. The carpets were vile and there were cobwebs inside the balcony doors and vents. The bath panel was broken and we had to push it back in place when we first entered the room. Such a shame this place could be amazingly."
"Bed was really soft and the room was obviously a smoking room at some point as there was that stale old tobacco smell in the room that made getting to sleep difficult"
"We stayed for one night to meet friends on the waterfront. Perfect location for the eateries there and easy access to the high street too. Parking is a little limited at peak times but there’s a multi storey next door. Staff were really pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was really good too with lots of choice, although the coffee wasn’t great. The room was spacious and clean and perfect for what we needed it for. Will stay again if we’re in the area."
