"Easy to find, walked both to cathedral and Palais de Jacques Coeur. Breakfast so-so. Breads, croissants inferior. Front desk staff young and all but one rather clueless. No help with restaurant recommendations for lunch. First-rate older bartender."

"The room was clean and the location of the hotel is good. However. Several amenities did not exist as advertised. For example, we were not able to use air conditioner. The explanation was that it is cold outside at night and some people want to use the heaters so they cannot do both. However, inside the room was extremely warm. Opening a window was not an option due to the occasional noise from the street. "

"No outlets in room to charge your phone. No coffee machine in room. But the decor was lovely and classy. The breakfast was underwhelming no cheese eggs or meat. However the croissants were huge and amazing. The woman who checked me in was kind and accommodating. But the male staff at breakfast was standoffish and not warm or welcoming. The grounds could use some more landscaping befitting of a chateau."

"We arrived to find the the hotel is undergoing renovation. That included a new carpark being resurfaced leading to a rather dirty temporary reception area. Our room was OK, but the shower was missing one door so that water ended up all over the bathroom floor. Breakfast was nice and it is easily walkable into the centre of Bourges, but we were not prepared for what state the hotel would be in for our short stay."
