"Loved our stay and experience!!! It’s an old style 1970s looking room that reminds me of Red Roof Inn, but that is part of the experience. The fact we were within a 5 minute walk from the South Rim and I walked there 2 mornings straight (we stayed for 2 nights) to see the sunrise by 5:11am was amazing! Also, on our last morning, our family went for a hike on Bright Angel Trailhead at 6:30am, which starts at the south rim (same place where I saw sunrise),
finished a little after 9am and walked back to Maswik Lodge for a wonderful breakfast. All done before we had to checkout by 11am. The close proximity to everything was so worth it! Oh! The shuttles are amazing! Super easy and come every 15 mins. We took a shuttle the day before to the free Hermit’s Rest tour that lasted 80 minutes. On our way back, we decided to get off the shuttle to go eat dinner at the Maswik Lodge and then took a shuttle back to the visitor center for the Star Party, which is also where our car was parked. Smooth transitions with every shuttle we took. We look forward to coming back and staying much longer when we can!!"
"Needed the room for only one night. Very close to the Grand Canyon, very nice staff, and free breakfast was perfect to get our day up and running. My only issue was the flat pillows. But perfect stay overall."
"The property was cleaned inside the lobby it smell clean, the weather was kinda weird hot and windy with some debris flying around from plants and trash from nearby buildings but for the most part the facility was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful with questions that I had."
"We traveled here for a weekend with our two young kids (10 and 7) and had a great time. The pool area is the perfect size - not overwhelmingly big like a theme park, but it does allow guests, in, it is not exclusively for the resort, that being said, it never seemed too busy.
The basic double queen room is huge, with clean and comfortable beds. As others have said, the food is your basic diner food, nothing spectacular but that didn't really matter to us. We would visit again."
"I was incredibly happy with our stay here at the Marriot in Sedona. They let me check in 2 hrs earlier, which was really nice as my kids were ready to get in the pool. The service with every employee was welcoming and everyone was so helpful. I especially like the convenience of marketplace, I was able to enjoy a nice tall can of IPA by the pool, put it on my open tab, then when the kids were done swimming we were able to have a decent dinner meal and that bistro dinning place, kind of expensive but the food was AMAZING!!! I was impressed with the food and service we received there as well, I honestly felt well taken care of. We also took advantage of their gym, unfortunately the treadmills wouldn’t turn on but the onsite repair guys figured it out and got the treadmills back to working. The pool seats were taken but I was able to bring a chair inside which worked out fine. As for our rooms, very clean and the queen beds were super comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again!!!"
