"If you have a car you should be aware that the car park underneath the hotel is separate from the hotel and is accessible by the public from the street. Also if the lift is not working it is 3 flights of stairs to get from the car park to reception.

"My wife and I stayed in Haus am Stadttor for two nights in August 2025. We absolutely loved the place. It is perfectly located and very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need for a short or long-term stay. We slept like babies in the comfortable bed and enjoyed the quiet, though the house is located a very short walk to the altstadt. Mathias was also very friendly, welcoming, kind, helpful and flexible. He let us check in early and allowed us a late check-out. All-in-all, a great...
