"This was our luxury stay in Japan. We absolutely loved the traditional ryokan and the private onsen was just dreamy. We had the option to book an hour every morning and evening—we just booked in the evening because in the morning we are usually ready to get our day started (and I think the bookings started maybe at 8am?). We loved the little walk down the hill to the train station—it was a pretty walk. While in Halone, Gora Park is a MUST—it is so beautiful and there is so much to see. I’d also recommend the Hakone Free Pass, which covered all of our transportation, the visit to Gora Park, and lots more! We’d definitely stay here again!"

"Amazing dinner in the hotel restaurant. The Wagyu beef was melt in your mouth fantastic. Great wine. The private onsen was perfect and so relaxing at the end of the night. Super comfortable bed and spacious room. Wish I had booked two nights. My only complaint is the coffee in the room is more espresso style and I love a big hearty cup of coffee in the morning. The hotel doesn’t offer coffee in the lobby which is a bummer. We didn’t add breakfast just because we don’t usually do breakfast. Great hotel, would definitely stay here again. "
