"Parking was a bit of an issue, but manageable. Staff was excellent, both at the front desk and throughout the hotel. Don't miss the outdoor garden with the heated seats/bench, a lovely spot. The proximity to so many of the things which make SF special was amazing. Shopping, eats, bars (The Page and Gigis both stand out), Golden Gate Park, the fun SF vibe all made the trip and stay memorable. We'll be back to stay at the Metro! "

"Love love loved this hotel and its unique location! As Japan lovers, we really felt like we were in Japan with all the decor and design elements. Very comfortable rooms and setup, friendly staff and CONVENIENTLY located at the heart of Japan town, walking distance to Fillmore st with access to the bus and easy to get in and around town. Highly recommend!!!!"

"Love the hotel - clean rooms - clean hotel - quiet - nice location away from the busy city. The bar/restaurant was delish and the drinks were great! We loved the bartender Eric. He was friendly and personable. Would definitely go th the DoubleTree when we come back ot to the SF area."
