"This is a beautiful little spot about a 20-minute walk from downtown Paramaribo. I also stayed downtown, and can surely say I much prefer being away from the noise and crowds of the city center. Villa Famiri is in a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. You can also walk to downtown though it's not a nice walk (no sidewalks, lots of trash and standing water, lots of traffic). They have a lovely common area and pool so it's great for relaxing. "To the owner of this apartment: please consider hiring a different care taker! We arrived in Parbo after a long bus journey and was looking forward to a good stay. First impression was excellent - nice quiet street with amazing tall trees hundreds years old, the building looked modern. However we were not able to raise the attention of the staff, there was a note on the door saying we should call a number - but how do we do that if we don;t have cell or wifi connections in a new country...

"The reception person did not speak English. He was very friendly though and with Spanish translator, it wasn’t a big problem. Place was quite old and a bit run down. It was relatively clean but lost stars because of its worn out rooms. Location was convenient but that also made it noisy on a Friday night."
