It's also full of great shops and cafes, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander. Splash some more cash at Rue Montorgueil, Galeries Lafayette, and Rue de la Paix.

"Photos on website are at least 20 years old. No housekeeping service provided at all over 4 night stay. Rooms very badly need to be renovated. No plug in bathroom, no outlets at all in bedroom. Furniture not comfortable.
Breakfast was great, staff were very friendly. Great location, would not stay there again. "
"This is in Republique. A ten minute walk to the Marais. Oberkampf metro 5 min away with a market, boulangerie and a fabulous restaurant at the end of the block. We had a little issue with the elevator out, but the staff did everyto make us happy. Very nice 4 night stay. Two rooms"
"Well positioned for exploring Paris and great for budget-conscious travellers... but beware the stairs! I was on the 5th floor and those stairs are a killer after a day of exploring the city. Obviously there's not any way round this given the building's design, but anyone with mobility issues may want to think twice before booking here. Room was basic but fine, with a very small bathroom area (but still technically en suite!) and a TV - sadly no kettle and coffee/tea in the room, I believe refreshments were available from reception but given what an epic trip up and down stairs it is, I could live without it! Plenty of shops nearby to stock up on snacks and refreshments, including a well stocked Aldi 5 minutes walk away."
"Clean Rooms, really good area for food and drinks, felt really safe as well! The rooms and bathrooms look way bigger in the pictures, especially the bathrooms are a tight squeeze. Other than that everything was amazing. The staff is super kind and helpful. "
