"Me and my family’s review is based on our experience we had at the Hilton during our five nights stay here. We were in contact with the hotel prior to arrival and spoke to multiple employees and explain to them. We are travelling with kids under the age of six and need connecting rooms to our surprise at the time of check-in, they told us they did not have any connecting rooms and will have to give us separate rooms on different sides of the hotel. This was extremely frustrating after a 12 hour journey, especially after it was confirmed by the hotel in writing that we were going to get connecting rooms at Check In. The hotel manager at the time of the ship was extremely nice. They did offer us 50,000 Hilton points which covered the first night in separate rooms the front desk staff almost seems standoffish with Lil to very minimum interaction now for the hotel. This hotel is located 14 minutes from the famous world city this property definitely looks a lot better in the pictures and is deed. When advertised they showed tennis courts to our shop, we went downstairs to play and we’re hit with the bill of $$40 Canadian per hour, which made no sense but according to the people on the tennis court, the property did not own the tennis court the swimming pool we’re good. The food at the snack bar was decent. The beach was not the best. Water smelt like gas due to the big boats. The Hilton was a No for us. Please research before booking. "

"Nuestra estadía en el Hotel Estelar Cartagena fue una experiencia excelente. Desde el momento en que llegamos todo fue perfecto. Nuestra habitación tenía una vista espectacular al mar, lo que hizo la estancia aún más especial. El área del lobby es hermosa y muy elegante, y la piscina con esa vista al mar simplemente increíble. Es el lugar perfecto para relajarse y disfrutar de Cartagena. Pero sin duda lo mejor de todo fue el servicio. Todo el personal fue muy amable, atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudarnos. Queremos agradecer especialmente a Raúl, Alfonso, Juan y Mildreth por todas sus atenciones y por hacer nuestra experiencia aún más especial. ¡Definitivamente volveríamos!"

"Just returned from an absolutely amazing stay in **Sofitel Barú Calablanca Beach Resort** in **Barú**, and I can’t recommend it enough. 🌴 If you’re looking for a place to truly disconnect, this is it. The atmosphere was incredibly tranquil—perfect for sitting quietly, relaxing, and soaking in the beauty of the island. The food was honestly **10 out of 5**. Every meal felt like a highlight of the trip. 🍽️ The staff were just as impressive—so attentive, warm, and genuinely personable. They made the entire stay feel special. Jesus, Daniel and Victor made my stay unforgettable! Jorge's cooking, the Chef at Humo, was visionary, precise, and deeply flavorful!! I would absolutely return without hesitation. The **only suggestion** I’d make is for the hotel to include the boat transfer from **Cartagena** to the island as part of the stay. Offering that ride complimentary would make the experience even smoother and more seamless. All in all, an unforgettable escape. ✨ "
