Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport - Directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3
8/10 Good
"We used the hotel as a stopping point on our way home from Japan to the United States. We had just finished a two week stay in Japan including a nine-day cruise to various Japan ports and Busan, So. Korea. Our ship arrived in Tokyo at 7 am and our flight home was not until 10 p.m. So we booked the room at the Villa Fontaine to rest for the day, prior to our flight.
We chose the hotel as it was attached to the Delta Airlines Terminal #3 at Haneda Airport.
Upon check-in they told us that our reservation did not cover our arrival an that we need to pay the full amount for the stay. We told them we had paid Expedia, but they said we would need to request the refund from them. We are attempting that now.
Also included was a visit to their hot spring's spa.
Little did we know that the spa was a 'sans swimsuit' experience. In otherwards, no clothing allowed. Needless to say, I am almost 80 and my wife in the mid 70's, decided the spa was not for us.
We also found a small mall and shops attached to the hotel and between it and the airport terminal. this did make some of our visit practical and nice."
"Our stay at this hotel was wonderful from start to finish. The location is unbeatable, situated right across the street from Bayside Station, where the monorail whisks you straight to the Disney parks in minutes. No long drives or parking hassles, just an easy ride to the magic.
The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained and welcoming throughout. Dining was a highlight, with a wide variety of food options that catered to just about every taste in our group. Whatever you were in the mood for, there was something to satisfy.
What truly set this hotel apart, though, was the customer service. Every single person we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making us feel at home. The entire staff spoke English exceptionally well, which made communication effortless and added to how welcomed we felt during our stay.
We left feeling thoroughly taken care of and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Disney parks who wants comfort, convenience, and standout hospitality."
"The venue was wonderful! Clean, spacious, convenient from train station. The staff was very accommodating and very professional. The breakfast buffet was awesome!!! If you stay a few days , the breakfast add on via Expedia is really worth it!!! If you pay for the buffet breakfast separately, it costs much more so definitely get the add on—you won’t regret it!!! If you’re in Japan for tourism aside from Disneyland, the location is a little off course from the other tourist attractions and for small kids, this may be tiring.
For a family of 4, it was nice we all had our own twin beds. For that reason, there wasn’t much extra room to walk but a good nights rest is much better than having a few extra feet to walk.
Other notes:
Has laundry room that you pay with CC or electronic payment via phone.
No swimming pool but bath house.
Showers in room have deep baths and handheld shower.
Has only a tiny desk in room large enough for one laptop to work but you can go down to lobby for extra counter space to work -though not much privacy.
There is a Family mart connected to the hotel so if you need snacks, water, meds, it’s convenient."
