"Room and facilites are pristine, very very clean.
Room are spacious and have everything you need, very nice terrace.
Staff is wonderful, always with a smile and willing to help. A lot of young staff that could probably benefit from some extra training in terms of boundaries: they are very loud, some unprofessional at times.
Hotel is clearly focused on the American tourist that likes to drink around the clock. They seem to be the priority. The swim up bar is just packed with people drinking and yelling and the music is so loud in the afternoon. They seem to be the center of the attention, not the rest of the guests. We probably caught a spring break crowd, so teens and twenty year olds intoxicated around the common areas was a common sight.
All of the above I could tolerate, but the food, oh my god, it is really, really inferior than it has been in the past. I’ve been to a couple of RIU hotels in the past (2019 and 2024) and it’s been getting worse and worse every time.
It is a shame because we were planning another short trip in the fall and I can’t come back here. I would because of the facilities, and the beach, but I can’t eat this food again for 4 days.

"Family of four end of March trip. Stayed in a two queen swim up room which was very nice, but a bit of a musty, humid odor in our room. Open layout bathroom for more than two people is a bit tight. Buffet food was solid but repetitive. El Charro was a nice dinner, Inari was just ok. THe Valley wasn’t great. We couldn’t book the others/they were at capacity. We had lunches at Goldfish by the beach which was nice. Drinks and service were good, but a little inconsistent. Pool vibes and music was a bit cheesy but it’s a very lovely property and infinity pools.
Beach was nice but swimming area is very restrictive due to boats. We walked down the beach 1/2 a mile to more open waters. The seaweed was a bit of a bummer for half of our 5 night stay. Sad omen to see that our oceans aren’t healthy… Overall a nice trip, but might consider another property in the future. Not a 5 star experience, but a decent family vacation option if you get a good deal. "
