Hotel Charles

8/10 Good

"The staff was fantastic, rooms were clean. The king bed is actually 2 twin beds pushed together. Shower was small and I was excited to see a shower sprayer, body jets and a hand wand. But only the hand wand worked. Not an issue but bummed. Check the hours for breakfast before you head down. We saw the buffet, and there were many choices. We choose not to eat and just have coffee. There is an elevator, but 6 steps are needed to get to it and 6 steps to get to the room floors. They upgraded our room to a suite. It was nice and included a mini kitchen. there is a bus stop right at the hotel, and you can buy bus passes when you check in. Mini fridge is stocked with items that you can purchase."

"We extended our stay in Budapest for 2 nights. What a great choice for our hotel. Great location at the city center close to shopping, restaurants, and the Danube River. Staff were very helpful no matter what we needed. Breakfast was delicious! We would definitely stay here again if we ever returned to Budapest."

"The reception staff at the front desk and room service all are exceptionally good. The restaurant personal just average. Not really helpful. Food is average. The table ware is not thought through. Example: they offer jams in big jars, however, there is no jam sockets. At all. Thus, the jam to be put on the large sфuser it will spread on it. Good? No pool. No window view. Considering all above, the price is slightly too high."
