They never acted like we were bothering them with any of our questions. The hotel is located in a great area close to all the tourists spots. If you look down the street you will see the colosseum, which was cool to see! I also appreciated them allowing our luggage to be stored as we explored city! Thank you.
The staff were super, especially Daniela at the front desk. She took care of always responding via email to all our questions before arrival. While we were there her cheery disposition made our stay wonderful. Also Agata who cleaned our room was meticulous in keeping our room clean and spotless. The entire staff should be commended. All of our ratings above are excellent but for some reason it does not accept these entries
Hotel Colosseum was about a 15 min walk from the train station. Don’t follow Apple Maps which take you up the stairs. Turn left after the tower then your first right I believe. There is a Nasoni on the wall when you make the right turn, if you need to fill your water bottle. The hotel is clean and the staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast has a good variety. Walkable to the Colosseum. If your going to the city center you will need a cab.
I chose this location because its between the train station and the major sites. It's about a 15 min walk to either part. The buffet breakfast that was included was very nice and provided a good variety of items and the dining area was charming. But most of all, the hotel staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful. In addition, Hotel Galatea has free tours and activities planned out for each day of the week. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to participate in any of them.
Wonderful staff, clean room, air conditioning, windows, quiet area at night, DELICIOUS breakfast buffet!!! Love the private entrance for after hours, or in my case I have a slight phobia with glass staircases, so it was nice to have an option not to use the beautiful glass staircase in the main lobby! This hotel is beautiful in a fantastic neighborhood overlooking the Sta. Maria Maggiore Basilica. The hotel staff were lovely, always welcoming and responsive. I would stay here again.
The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom is impeccable. Hotel staff were very attentive and welcoming. There is a very nice rooftop area where I enjoyed a drink in the evening.
Good small hotel within walking distance of the Colosseum and several other major sites, very convenient access from Roma Termini. We were able to leave our bags after arriving early and they were in our room when we returned to check in. Rooms are modern and well-maintained, bed was comfortable, air conditioning was very nice.

Salotto Monti is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Rome. As with all hidden gems, it was a little hard to find as it was up a small local street and there were no signs outside the building.

We got there an hour early and we were lucky enough to have the room ready for us to check-in (They can also hold your luggage until it's check-in time if the room is still being prepared.) We got upgraded to a Junior Suite and the view was spectacular of Via Nationalze. The room was very cozy...
Great location for seeing the main sites of Rome and walking distance to Termini station. About 15 min walk to most sites. Around the corner from Nazionale Ave (a good shopping area). Staff was extremely helpful. The breakfasts (and Flavio -spelling?-- were great! Lots of choices including pancakes and cereal for the kids. Would recommend the Virgilio for its location, staff and breakfasts.

Small elevator stops between each floor, so you have to take the luggage to walk for few stairs.
I can't say enough about the fantastic staff. I had several special requests and the staff took care of me on the spot. Very clean and beautifuly decorated. Would highly recommend.
We arrived early and the room was ready for us. Huge. They really tried to accommodate us in every way. Took some time to convince them the room was not too small. It was much larger than a ship stateroom. It was clean. The only issue we had was with the shower which needs a few adjustments with shower head and no soap dish. The building is very old, and in October the room had a bit of a chill to it late at night. Wear socks! They were nice enough to allow us to have some coffee before...
This place is a gem. The host was super pleasant and accommodating in every way. It’s big, with ac and heating, even a mini fridge. Very modern amenities but still kept the traditional look which was amazing for us. It’s located close to many of the restaurants as well as walking distance from all the major attractions. Would definitely recommend staying here and I hope to stay here again on my next visit.
Only downside was no full body mirror but that’s very minor. This place is a full 20/10...
