Be Live Experience Marrakech Palmeraie - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"The room was pretty clean but the towels and beddings have stains and need replacing or to be washed better.
The bar had 3 basic alcoholic cocktails which were nice but becomes a bit boring after a while.
The staff at reception were helpful however I believe that they’re in cahoots with the taxi companies to rip you off! I advise finding a taxi man that you like that offers good prices and stick to them or use inDrive. From the hotel to the medina we were charged 150-200 which is extortionate as inDrive would have taken you for 50 dirhams.
All in all, it is a decent hotel if you are on a budget. It gets the job done especially if you’re a group of 3 and don’t want to book 2 separate rooms."
Palmeraie Oasis Camp - A Member Of Barcelo Hotel Group
10/10 Excellent
"Where we stayed at the Oasis Camp was lovely. Clearly it was a newer addition to the Barcelo Resort and it was beautifully appointed and quiet. At night they would light a fire in the center of all the "tents" which made for a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, the rest of the Barcelo resort has gone somewhat to seed. It was clearly in it's heyday 20 years ago or so and not much has been done to improve on it since. There were multiple amenities (volleyball, tennis, lake) that weren't well maintained and the service/food at the restaurants left us somewhat disappointed. Overall, I'd give the resort a 3/5, and the oasis camp a 5/5. "
"Lovely few days stay here, great hotel with amazing Animation (activity) and catering teams who worked tirelessly. Cleaners did great job of the rooms with extra decorations and photography team were brilliant - special call out to Mohamed!!! What a great hotel."
"If you dont have a car, dont stay here! its easily 20 mins to get anywhere and taxis are expensive even if you haggle. the rooms dont look exactly like pictures on Expedia but the property is beautiful and I am grateful they were able to help me alter my booking without any fuss. "
"No animation. No evening shows. Pools not heated in April. Nothing to do really. All inclusive package isn’t really all inclusive (as you have to pay for most drinks and food). Pretty simple food (tagine for lunch and dinner). "
"There’s no doubt this is a stunning property. We stayed in a delux villa which was also beautifully furnished. Being Relais & Chateâux we expected service to be of very high standard which it certainly was not. There’s clearly a lack of leadership and proper training."
