Boutique Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola
6/10 Okay
"You’re paying for the sunset, and the beach access- which are both absolutley stunning.
Many reasons this hotel isn’t a 5 star.
1. The room is a 2 star. Old, outdated, no charm, just a plain room with a plain bed, and the bathroom is even more simple. For 700$/night I expected more.
2. Breakfast- every morning it’s the same. Compared to the rest of the hotels we have been in Italy, this has been the worst food. The selection is very minimal and the menu has pancakes with an asterisk next to it. The asterisk states that these come frozen. Really? You can’t make fresh pancakes? That is the easiest thing to make.
3. There is no information sheet in the room of how to contact reception ( which is many stairs away), or what the wifi is etc. Pretty standard again for most hotels.
Other than that the service was great. The location is wonderful ( as long as you don’t get car sick- because the roads to get here are VERY windy).
I will probably come back again only for the beach, or try and find another hotel with beach proximity.
For $700 / night I have a hard time justifying it, and would give it a 2.5 star."
"We just left this past Tuesday. The staff was wonderful! They truly made our stay great and helped with an e-bike tour and a ride to the airport. This resort is wonderful! Such great views from the pool of the sea! Would highly recommend! Also the breakfast buffet is hands down a great experience and value!"

"We had a most enjoyable relaxing three days by the beach following 14 travelling through Tuscany. The standards and service were exemplary, the staff are all levels were so professional and friendly. The breakfast could not be improved and with such a setting it was great. Very high standards for the evening meal and of course you pay a premium for this. Rooms were large and only 2 minutes from the beach where you have your own lounger allocated to you for the duration. First class venue, expensive in parts but worth it."
"Beautiful gem in an incredible area. Monte Argentario is a bit off the beaten path compared to the more popular spots of Italy, but that’s what makes it so special. Not overrun with tourists, just peace and serenity. Great place for a quiet get away. The hotel has an incredible pool area, great rooms and is positioned on a gorgeous cove. Highly recommend"
"Great property with amazing staff. Beware of the fees the hotel charges on activities. If a winery charges 30€ for a tasting, the hotel will charge you 65€ for the experience, a steep commission…"
