As the inside temperature never dropped below 24 degrees (19th to 24th June), we tried to leave bedroom windows open at night, but only did so for an hour on the first night, as there is so much traffic for most of the night, roaring up and down, so not had a lot of sleep. Took coffee bags with us as no coffee maker, as per previous reviews. Power shower was pretty weak but sufficed. Very small...

"The property was not that clean. Cobwebs on most curtains and in other areas. Its sleeps 5 people but only enough crockery for 4 and half of the plates had cracks. ( i do have photos). Over all a disappointment."

"Scarborough Hill hotel is the best I have ever stayed in ! the room was well furnished with excellent fittings etc clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the grounds were beautiful !!! if you have young children there is a play area where parents can relax while watching their children.
Had a excellent free breakfast with more than enough of a choice for anyone's tastes.
I would recommend to anyone thinking of staying here not to miss a wonderful experience !"

The staff were friendly and helpful and the grounds were beautiful !!! if you have young children there is a play area where parents can relax while watching their children.

"We were given a room with a view/balcony, which was more than we booked, which was so kind of the hotel. The view from the balcony overlooking the river, the large bed, the bath and the generously restocked bathroom and tea tray was brilliant.
The hotel is a family owned concern and this comes through repeatedly with the friendliness and warmth of all staff - nothing is too much trouble.
The food both at breakfast and dinner was beyond good.
The stay made us very happy 😁."

"Booked dinner at this hotel because they said they had multiple menu items for allergy issues! Turned out they hadnt. Really well dealt with on the night by two excellent members of staff. Rooms were better in the hotel - our 'suite' was a little tired. Breakfast and lady who served it was fantastic. An Ipswich win made the stay more enjoyable. "

"Excellent everything about the place and owners what a warm welcome.
I arrived later than anticipated i got greeted by the owners which although late at night couldn't knock them for going out of there way to still accommodate me.
I havent eaten all day for 14 hrs they gave me something to eat off there own backs.
There was food in room like bread,ham, cheese and yogurt and fresh fruit.all condiments, everything was well thought of.
Room was compact,warm and very clean.
Overall a excellent stay...
