"A hidden gem this one is, set by lake Victoria. I was blown away by the sheer amount of greenery in it’s well tended gardens and then the peace and quiet around this property has to be experienced for one to believe. Although I must point out that Sunday to Thursday will be my choice of days for my next visit as I like it quiet.

"The room we were given was not what we booked. When asked for the room we booked we were shown an incredibly run down version of it in a building that was undergoing repairs so we opted for the room they initially assigned. It costs $50000 UGX to get a ride to town so we felt a bit trapped but I’m sure people accustomed to resorts are used to this.

"I stayed 2 nights in a Mirembe cottage- my friend had the cottage next door and we had a dedicated outside eating area, from where we were served our food.We were served by James who was consistently courteous and efficient .We felt like film stars on a tropical island as we ate delicious food sitting by the lake watching a wide variety of birds - it was just such a treat!"
